Appointed in September 2019, he inherited a global consumer goods giant with health and hygiene products selling across more than 180 countries. But recent years had not been kind to RB, with misfortune and miscalculation denting the trust of both consumers and long-term investors. The challenges for Laxman Narasimhan were multi-facetted and considerable.
